The Wimbledon Championships starts 6 weeks before the first Monday in August, or June 23rd in 2008.
The retractable roof on Centre Court is scheduled to be in place by then so play can continue in inclement weather.
Wimbledon is scheduled to be a 13 day event, cumlinating on Sunday the 6th of July with the Men's Singles Final.
So, a two week vacation starting on Friday the 4th would end on Sunday 20th, just in time for the British Open Final. 
It's something to think about anyway.
