Alecia Henley Christensen

Family:
  Remarried x5 years to a great guy named Stephen. We are living and working in a beautiful area in Oregon's Blue Mountains. We just finished building our own home and have finally gained our lives back after 2 years. Building was quite a job since Stephen's real job as a physician is already demanding. Needless to say, he worked well into the wee hours of the night working on the house after work. I basically acted as the general contractor buying/ordering materials we needed and hiring subcontractors for the things we didn't do ourselves. Collectively we have 7 children - 2 from my previous marriage - Mandy(almost 16) and Levi(almost 14, are now living with their dad in Reno. My husband's 4 children from his previous marriage, live with their mom in Idaho - Lydia(15), Loyd(almost 14), Michon(12), and Jordan(10). And last but certainly not least is our 4 year old son named Eric. We are enjoying life and making the best of what Heavenly Father has blessed us with.
Career:
  I am still a Registered Dietitian but I have not worked outside of the home since our caboose Eric was born. I am greatful to be able to stay home with Eric and with Mandy and Levi for 2 years before they went to live with their dad. It has been quite a change for me as well as a challenge and I have gained a new appreciation and respect for mother's who choose to stay at home and raise their children. Someday I'll be out at the grindstone again but for now I'm finding joy in my husband and all of my children.
Hobbies:
  My husband and I appreciate the outdoors and absolutely love the Columbia Gorge and Oregon Coast. We like to hike(I hope to hike at least 51 of the 52 high peaks of the states someday!) and our passion (after eachother) is taking pictures of waterfalls. Travelling abroad is also a future goal. Life begins after 40 right (or at least after child support)!
