Our daughter, Jillian (age
17), graduated from CCHS June 2002. It's
hard to believe how fast the time flies by but I guess that's what we get
for letting her skip 1st grade. She received the Nevada millennium
scholarship & is planning on attending school in Reno this Fall. We
just returned from a family trip to Hawaii to celebrate Jill's graduation
& our 19th wedding anniversary.

We have been very
busy growing our business, Janess Business
Services, for the past 10 years. Our small town roots have served us well
in our business. Mike's dad, our
daughter and a family friend work with us & our customers seem to
enjoy the family environment. We enjoy working together, too, although we
try really hard not to take work home with us and we rarely work
weekends.

It's hard to condense 10 years in a paragraph
but here's the basics ... About 5 years ago we purchased one acre in the
country, built a house & have been very busy landscaping etc. A few
months after moving into the new house Ginny was diagnosed with cancer (a
rare form of non-hodgkins lymphoma). Surgery & 6 weeks of radiation
followed. We are now 3 1/2 years cancer free! Our advice: get any unusual
lumps checked out immediately. It's true - the sooner you catch it the
better. We've enjoyed traveling with our daughter, Jill, a lot. Trips in
the past few years included Florida, NYC, DC & Canada. We are active
in volunteer work with the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. We
are blessed that our families live nearby and to have lots of good friends
who made coping with the cancer (& life in general) much easier.
