In 1986, Kimball Forrest and Darryl Scherkenbach started RDI as a sole proprietorship,
providing GIS services to the young city of Anchorage. In 1989 RDI incorporated
and became a partnership. By 1995 it had grown to 20 employees and added another
owner, beginning the ownership structure that continues today.
Since that time RDI has grown to be the premier IT consulting firm in Alaska and
branched out to several other locations in the U.S. Our ownership group has expanded
to include 16 employees, and the opportunities at RDI remain numerous. We continue
to be financially stable and poised for success.
