Resource Data was founded in Anchorage, Alaska in 1986 by Daryl Scherkenbach, a
geologist with a Ph.D. from University of Minnesota. In 1989 Kimball Forrest, a classmate
from University of Minnesota also with a Ph.D. in geology, joined Daryl and shortly
thereafter they incorporated to form Resource Data, Inc. (RDI). By 1995, RDI had grown
to 20 employees and added another owner, beginning the ownership structure that
continues today.
Since that time RDI has grown to be a premier IT consulting firm in Alaska and branched
out to several other locations in the U.S. Our ownership group now includes 16 employees,
opportunities are numerous, and we continue our record of financial stability and success.
The vision of RDI is simple: Best People, Best Technology, Best Results.
We are driven to provide our customers with the highest value possible. Part of
the strategy for achieving our vision is to make RDI the best place to work for
IT professionals: when our employees win, our clients win. We strive for a long-term,
stable work force. Ownership of the company is shared among many senior employees,
resulting in extremely high employee retention. This type of stability becomes increasingly
important for clients as our employees gain in-depth knowledge of their business
processes.
Our Corporate values are
- Excellence
- Integrity
- Fiscal Health
- Teamwork
- Achievement
- Innovation
- Work - Life Balance
- Opportunity
- Great Place to Work
