Resource Data, Inc.’s LEO Network mobile app won Honorable Mention in the Multi-Media/Interactive Design category for AIGA Alaska’s 2015 Annual Design Competition! AIGA is a professional association for design that advocates design as a professional craft. The Multi-Media/Interactive Design category includes apps, websites, digital ads, ePublishing and other digital material intended for digital platforms. Categories are judged on the overall effectiveness of the design solution and overall quality, including composition, marketing impact, visual design and more. In total, the 6th annual competition had over 120 submissions from firms or individuals whose primary business is located in the state of Alaska.

We worked with Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium’s Center for Climate and Health and the Local Environmental Observer (LEO) Network to create the LEO Observer mobile app. The LEO Network facilitates communication and collaboration between western science and traditional ecological knowledge to help tribal communities around the world make informed decisions. Through the free mobile app, local observers and topic experts can share observations and raise awareness about environmental events in their communities.

More information about the LEO Network can be found on their website: www.leonetwork.org.
